Please read ALL of the information below to ensure you have completed ALL registration steps in order to streamline your time at Greenlight.

One parent/guardian MUST accompany their student(s) on ONE of the two GreenLight nights in addition to completing online registration on Skyward. 

Both steps are required to receive a class schedule, student iPad, parking pass, lunch form, and for underclassmen to take their yearbook picture. 

Information about school clubs & organizations will be available, as well as opportunities to purchase GHS gear.

COMPLETE BEFORE ATTENDING GREENLIGHT: 

• New Student Registration
  • New Student Registration will be held at GHS on July 17 from 9-2.  New registrants after this date can complete the following steps AND report to the guidance office on ONE of the GreenLight dates noted above with at least one parent/guardian.
  • Enrollment Checklist
    • Students who are identified as homeless OR those students who do not speak English as their first language will be enrolled immediately even if they do not have one or more of these documents. 
  • Skyward Registration for New Students
• Returning Sumner County Students from SY 24-25: 
  • • Online Registration on Skyward 
      • Click on the registration link below and follow these steps:
        • Under log in box, click Login Area drop down box and select Family/Student Access.
        • Enter your Username and Password. 
          • Retrieve forgotten credentials.
        • Once logged in, on the left hand side, choose "Online Registration for RETURNING Students"
        • Complete registration.
        • Click Skyward Help for FAQ for the registration process.
        • Screenshot the last page when you submit your registration for proof and be prepared to show this proof at GreenLight.
    • School Nutrition
      • Through the LINQ Connect Family Portal, parents can submit Free/Reduced online applications, and safely process one-time or automatic payments via Visa, MasterCard, or Discover for a small processing fee.
        • HERE is the link for the Meal Benefits Application, Meal Payments, Meal Prices, and Breakfast/Lunch Menus.

  • School Fees - $25 
    • Paying online now will allow you to bypass the fee table at registration.
    • The link below will take you to the secure OSP website for payments.
      • Click HERE to pay for the $25 school fee.

  • Bring to GreenLight - turn in in the library to receive student iPad

  • Complete form and pay $5 yearly parking fee at GreenLight table. 
  • You will need to know your vehicle information, the license plate number and student's driver's license number.

• School Supplies 
  
  • Each student will have 4-5 teachers.
  • There is no specific  list because high school classes vary so greatly; however, below are typical items:
    • paper
    • notebooks / folders
    • pens / pencils
    • highlighters
    • TI-84 Plus Calculator (optional but will be used all four years as well as on the ACT) 

• Tax Free Weekend 
  • Friday - Sunday, July 26th - 28th. During this weekend, Tennessee offers a sales tax break on clothing, school supplies, and computers.
