Community Mentor Program

Goal: To provide GHS students facing adversity with the guidance they need to help them succeed by matching them with an adult mentor from our local comminity.

Requirements:

  • Mentors will come to GHS twice a month for approximatly 30 minutes per visit to meet with their students.
  • Each mentor will be assigned 2 - 3 students to mentor during each visit.
  • All mentors will need to attend a required 2 hour training session.  Several dates will be offered throughout the school year.
  • All mentors must pass a background check which will be paid for by Sumner County Schools.
