Youth Legislature

March 4 - 7, 2009, Sheraton Downtown/State Capitol

Students learn about state government through participation as legislators, attorneys, or governor's cabinet members at the conference. Legislators work in pairs to research, write, and present a bill of concern to Tennessee State government. You must write a bill, revise it to meet all YMCA and GHS requirements, present it in a practice session, and demonstrate proficiency in parliamentary procedure, presentation, and debate skills. Estimated cost: $450.00. Financial aid is also available for this conference.
